It offers a refreshing approach in both style and content. Aimed squarely at the Sauvignon-and Shiraz generation it brings a fun, un-stuffy approach to learning about wine.

The focus is on tasting and involvement as course leader Tim Wildman explains. “We take the grape varieties as our starting point each week. Most people know what they like, but we all tend to stick to what we know. The aim of the course is to broaden horizons, to build peoples confidence as tasters and help to articulate the preferences and ideas they already possess.

Each week we look at a number of “hot topics” that are really relevant to peoples day-to-day lives, such as how to spot a corked wine, bargain hunting in supermarkets, choosing the best wine on a restaurant list and where to buy the best organic wines. It’s a lot of fun, we taste some very nice wines along the way and it’s a great way to meet new people”

Goodfruit classes run for four weeks and are held on Tuesday evenings at Sevendials Restaurant. The next course starts on TUESDAY 25th SEPTEMBER.  More details can be found on their website goodfruit.co.uk
