Sevendials Restaurant is a unique, intimate and stylish venue that has been granted permission to hold civil ceremonies. A former Lloyds Bank, this distinctive building provides an impressive setting for such a memorable occasion. Combined with the award-winning food, personalised service and attention to detail, Sevendials Restaurant is guaranteed to delight guests, creating an unforgettable and special celebration.
A flexible team of staff and several areas within the layout of the restaurant means there are a variety of options when planning a celebration. Both the main restaurant and The Vault (the private room) have been granted licences/permission. During the warm months, the beautiful summer terrace, decked in hard-wood and surrounded by plants and flowers provides a third area for entertaining. Its meticulously nurtured herb garden presents a lovely backdrop for official photographs.

Each celebration is be-spoke and Head Chef/Owner Sam Metcalfe and Restaurant Manager, Elodie Durand will discuss your specific requirements. A creative and understanding team, they will provide several suggestions to fulfil your dream.
The following are just a snap-shot of an exclusive day.
- Option 1 – Exclusive Celebration for 20
Ceremony in the Vault, champagne and canapés in the main restaurant or the Summer Terrace. Seated meal in the main restaurant or The Vault.
- Option 2 – Intimate Celebration for up to 55
Ceremony in the main restaurant, champagne and canapés on the Summer Terrace followed by seated meal in the main restaurant.
- Option 3 – Party for up to 120
Ceremony in the main restaurant, champagne and canapés on the Summer Terrace followed by seated meal in the main restaurant for up to 55. Guests move to Summer Terrace for coffee whilst tables are cleared in the main restaurant & The Vault, allowing space for additional guests to join the party for a cocktail reception and/or dancing.
It’s all about timing …
As a restaurant, we are very flexible and can offer you our venue for simply a lunchtime wedding or the entire day and evening. Celebrations may be held any day of the week subject to the availability of the registrar. If you choose to hold the ceremony at Sevendials Restaurant you will need to confirm with the registrar their availability. Please contact Linda Holm, 01273 292016.

Fresh, flavoursome and fabulous
Local produce is sourced where possible from the surrounding Sussex and Kent farms and fisheries, much of which is organic and GM free. The herbs are picked from the restaurant’s own herb garden that is a feature of the Summer Terrace.
Our superb value two-course lunch menu for £10 (excluding Sunday) changes daily and we always feature a classic Sunday roast for Sunday Lunch. We offer a children’s menu before 6pm.
A carefully selected international wine list compliments the dishes depending on the occasion. There’s a choice of excellent house recommendations plus a handpicked range of fine wines and champagnes for that special celebration.
Our classic cocktails are prepared using premium spirits and fresh fruit.
